Franz Xaver Leonhard (politician, 1812)

Franz Xaver Leonhard (born March 21, 1812 in Biberach ; † November 22, 1882 there ) was a teacher, Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Leonhard attended the Landesgymnasium in Rottweil and the University of Tübingen , the Sorbonne and Collège de France in Paris and the University of Berlin . He was a teacher at the Latin School in Biberach, the Royal High School in Rottweil and Ellwangen , but from 1863 to 1869 he took over the pastor's position on Busses. From 1869 he was the high school rector in Ellwangen and from 1876 until his death a member of the state parliament in Württemberg . In 1872 he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of Frederick .

From 1877 to 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 13 ( Aalen , Gaildorf , Neresheim , Ellwangen ) and the center .
