Franz von Falkenstein

Franz Freiherr von Falkenstein (born September 15, 1852 in Tübingen , † March 25, 1911 in Nürtingen ) was an Oberamtmann in Württemberg.

Life and work

Franz von Falkenstein studied criminal sciences in Tübingen from 1871 to 1874 . In 1874 he passed the first and in 1875 the second higher service examination. In 1874 he became a trainee lawyer at the Oberamt Rottenburg , in 1875 actuarial administrator at the Oberamt Ravensburg and in 1876 a deputy bailiff at the Oberamt Balingen and Schorndorf . The next station in his professional career was the Oberamt Schorndorf , where he was an official from 1878 to 1885. In 1885 he was employed as chief administrator at the Tuttlingen district authority, then for a short time in Leonberg and Calw. From 1886 to 1888 he was a collegiate assistant in the government of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen. He received his first Oberamtmannstelle from 1888 to 1892 at the Oberamt Waldsee . From 1892 to 1911, the Nürtingen Oberamt was his last professional position, and from 1901 he held the title of Government Councilor.

Honors

Franz von Falkenstein was awarded the Knight's Cross First Class of the Order of Frederick in 1899 . He also received the bronze anniversary medal.
