Frauke Dirickx (born January 3, 1980 in Halle ) is a Belgian volleyball player .

Career

Dirickx started her career in 1996 at Isola Tongeren . In 1997 she moved to Kärcher Herentals , where she became Belgian champion in 1999. In 2000 the setter went to Italy and played for Vicenza volley , with which she won the 2001 European CEV Cup . She then moved within Italy to Cerdisa Reggio Emilia , later to Sassuolo Volley and finally again to Vicenza Volley. In 2005 she went to the Spanish top club CAV Murcia 2005 , with which she became Spanish champion in 2007 and won the European Top Teams Cup . Dirickx then returned to Italy for a season and played for Yamamay Busto Arsizio . In the 2008/09 season she was Romanian champion with CSU Metal Galați . Dirickx was very successful in 2009/10 with Fenerbahçe İstanbul , where she was Turkish champion and cup winner and reached the final in the Champions League . After another season in Italy with Spes Volley Conegliano , she went to the Polish league in 2011. Here she won the trophy twice with MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza and was Polish runner-up in 2013. Then she moved to league rivals Impel Wrocław .

Diricks also plays in the since 2000 Belgian national team , with which it in 2013 in the final in the Europa League with 2: 3 against Germany lost and was voted the best setter of the tournament. In the same year she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Germany and Switzerland .
