Frederick Albert Travalena III (born October 6, 1942 in the Bronx , New York - † June 28, 2009 in Encino , California ) was an American voice impersonator , comedian and actor .

Life

Travalena grew up in Long Island and moved to Los Angeles as a young man , where he initially appeared in clubs as a voice imitator. He has received television offers since the early 1970s and developed his act in shows such as The ABC Comedy Hour . Numerous shows and broadcasts signed him as a guest star, who imitated film stars and musicians as the "man with a thousand voices" . He performed in Las Vegas (since 1971), Reno and Atlantic City with his own shows. In addition, he was repeatedly active as a voice actor for cartoons .

In the mid-1980s, he presented the game show Anything for Money on television and made a guest appearance on the Good Sports series . In 1992 he appeared as Michael Jackson at the MTV Awards.

Travalena received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005 .
