Frederick McGee Rossiter
Frederick McGee Rossiter (also Frederick M. Rossiter , born March 12, 1870 in Elmore , Ottawa County , Ohio , † October 10, 1967 in Paradise , Butte County , California ) was an American physician and writer .
Life
Family and education
Frederick McGee Rossiter, son of Samuel G. Rossiter and Jennie McGee Rossiter, graduated from Battle Creek College in Berrien Springs , Michigan in 1893 with a Bachelor of Science degree . He devoted himself to following the study of medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago , Illinois , in 1896 he became Doctor of Medicine doctorate . He continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , in 1897 he received his second medical doctorate.
Frederick McGee Rossiter married Mary Henry on December 29, 1897. The marriage resulted in daughter Margaret, who was married to JH White, and son Henry. Rossiter, who had lived on Muirfield Road in Los Angeles during his professional career , died in Paradise in October 1967 at the old age of 97. He found his final resting place in the local Paradise Cemetery.
Professional background
Frederick McGee Rossiter received a medical post at Battle Creek Sanatorium in Berrien, Michigan in 1897 . In 1902 moved to Los Angeles Rossiter, where he opened a medical practice for general medicine , of which he held until the 1928th In 1922 Rossiter followed a call as Professor of Medicine at the College of Medical Evangelists in Loma Linda , a position he held until 1926. Rossiter, who published numerous articles in professional journals, graduated from the Royal College of Physicians in London in 1920 . In the same year he was accepted as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England . Frederick McGee Rossiter emerged in particular as a writer of medically relevant literary works.
