Alfred "Fredi" Breunig (* 5. June 1959 in Königshofen , district Rhön-grave field ) is a German comedian , glossist and dialect - author . He is the winner of the Franconian Cube 2013.

Life

Fredi Breunig grew up together with two sisters in Großeibstadt . He attended the state secondary school in Bad Königshofen in Grabfeld and learned the profession of physics laboratory assistant . As part of his business practice, he trained as a quality manager and auditor and is now employed as the head of technical customer service at a company that produces pharmaceutical packaging from glass.

Fredi Breunig is married and has two children. He has lived in Salz with his family since 1996 .

Cabaret and dialect

Fredi Breunig started his career as a cabaret artist in the early 1980s. He gained his first stage experience while performing in Großeibstadt as a member of the local theater group and the “Abschter Fosenöchtern”, a Franconian carnival club. Together with his stage colleague Martin Wachenbrönner as “Gotthold” and himself as “Eustach”, he performed well over 600 carnival appearances throughout Lower Franconia and beyond.

Breunig achieved nationwide fame through his appearances on the TV show Fastnacht in Franconia in 2010 (together with Martin Wachenbrönner) and most recently in 2016. This show with the highest ratings of all third programs is broadcast annually as a live broadcast on Bavarian television . Since 2006 he has also been a repeated guest at the “Foolish Wine Tasting” , which is recorded and broadcast by Bavarian TV in cooperation with the Fastnacht-Verband Franken eV in the State Court Cellar in Würzburg. In 2013 he was also invited to “Franken sucht den Supernarr” and other TV appearances.

As a solo cabaret artist, Breunig made a name for himself in the cabaret scene from 2006. In 2011 he started with his solo program "Döff doss doss?" In the meantime there is a second program called "Wallich nedd!" Breunig has been on the road since 2013.

Since October 2007, Fredi Breunig has been writing a fortnightly gloss for Main-Post with the title “Gotthold & Eustach”. In it, Breunig looks at current events and, in typical East-Lower Franconian dialect, illuminates things and events that strike him. Also since 2007, Fredi Breunig has slipped into the role of Lent Preacher "Brother Elisäus" in Burglauer during Lent and entertains almost 600 guests in the Rudi-Erhard-Halle at the "Fränkischer Politiker-Derbläggn" based on the example of the well-known event in Munich the Nockherberg.

The cabaret morning pints, which Fredi Breunig offers twice a year in Wargolshausen and occasionally in the Großer Kursaal in Bad Bocklet , are now a permanent fixture . He almost always takes on a leading role and has been on stage from mid-October to mid-November for 30 years.

In November 2013, Fredi Breunig was awarded the “ Franconian Cube ” from the three Franconian regional presidents.
