Fredrick Kleemichen

Fredrick Gary Kleemichen (born August 26, 1986 ) is a former German basketball player . The 2.07-meter-tall winger played two Bundesliga games for the Skyliners Frankfurt and was a German junior national player.

career

Kleemichen played in the offspring of BSG Bremerhaven and made the leap into the second division of the club as a youth. He was also appointed to the C-squad of the German Basketball Federation (in 2004 he was also in the German U20 squad).

In 2003 he moved to the youth department of the Skyliners Frankfurt and was part of the (extended) Bundesliga squad from 2003 to 2006. Kleemichen booked two appearances in Germany's top division during this time. In 2003 he was invited to "Basketball without Borders", an NBA viewing event. In the 2003/04 season he rose with the Frankfurt cooperation club, MTV Kronberg , from the 1st regional league to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2004/05 season Kleemichen was used by the Skyliners in a game of the Euroleague (against CSKA Moscow ).

In 2006 he moved to the regional league team SpVgg Rattelsdorf, where he was supported by Holger Geschwindner . For the 2007/08 season Kleemichen signed with the second division club Cuxhaven BasCats , where he played until the end of the 2009/10 season. In 2008 and 2010 he was runner-up in the second highest German league with the club from the North Sea coast.

For the 2010/11 season Kleemichen joined the regional league team VfL Stade and after a year went to BG Halstenbek / Pinneberg in the 2nd regional league, where he became the assistant coach of Zoran Krezic and helped out as a player in six games.
