Fredy Kunz (actor)

Fredy Kunz (born December 2, 1944 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor , director and theater director .

Life

Kunz served an apprenticeship as a salesman before he 1962-1964 as apprentice participated and actors in the guest performance stage "The Way" by Hermann Budde. He continued his training as an actor with Wolf Bosshard in Zurich and Linde Strube in Zollikon and from 1966 appeared in various theater productions. In 1968 he played at the Corso-Theater in Zurich, at the Schauspielhaus Zurich under the direction of Leopold Lindtberg in The Holy Johanna of the Slaughterhouses by Bertolt Brecht and in 1969 at the Zurich Opera House .

He completed two tours and made guest appearances at the Chur Theater in 1971, at the Winterthur Summer Theater in 1970 and 1977, at the Winterthur Theater in 1972 and from 1970 as an actor and director at Enzo Ertini's guest performance stage "Theater der Jungbrunnen" in Zurich, which he took over in 1971 and up to 1977 held. With this theater he appeared in hospitals, homes and at events in parishes .

His striving for a guest performance company that would undertake major tours and also play for children led to the founding of the Zurich guest performance theater together with Monika Wild in 1977 .

Kunz worked in feature films and in radio and television productions.

Kunz has been running the sole proprietorship “Favola Productions” (theater and film production) in Steinmaur since 2003 and has worked as a director for various ensembles, most recently at the “Dramatic Society Oberegg” with the play “De Goldhamster” by Josef Brun.

  • Several times first prize “Das goldene Krönlein” from the “Association for the Promotion of Zurich Youth Theater” for the best radio play CD of the year.
