Fredy Stach

Fredy Stach (born April 1, 1936 in Berlin , † April 3, 2007 in Edemissen ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Stach first became a Melker , but graduated from high school in 1955 and studied mathematics and physics at the Free University of Berlin . In 1964 he passed the second state examination and became a teacher at the Freiherr-vom-Stein-Oberschule in Berlin-Spandau . From 1971 he worked at the Lessing High School in Berlin-Wedding .

Stach had been a member of the SPD since 1965 and was elected to the district assembly in the Spandau district in 1971 . In February 1974 he moved to the Berlin House of Representatives for a year . In the 1979 election to the House of Representatives , Stach was able to win the direct mandate for the constituency of Spandau 8. In the Berlin election in 1989 he was elected District Councilor for Youth and Sport in the Spandau district. He held office for ten years until 1999.

In September 2000 the Federal President Johannes Rau awarded Stach the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
