The Free Game European Championship in 1965 was the 12th tournament in this discipline of carom billiards and took place from February 11 to 14, 1965 in Valencia . It was the third free game European championship in Spain.

history

Again the Dutchman Henk Scholte showed his nerve strength. In the last game against the leading Spaniard Salvador Orti Vélez, only one win was enough to defend the title. In three shots he gave the Spaniard no chance of victory. Since there were no more playoffs, Scholte's best general average (GD) was enough for victory. Third place went to cadre specialist Antoine Schrauwen from Belgium. The German champion Matthias Metzemacher had no chance in this field and was last.

mode

The game was played in a final round "everyone against everyone" up to 500 points.
