Freshlyground (Eng. Freshly ground ) is a South African band that was founded in Cape Town in 2002 . The band members come from South Africa , Mozambique and Zimbabwe . Her music includes elements of African music such as kwela as well as blues , jazz and independent . The lead singer is Zolani Mahola .
In 2010 the group and Shakira contributed the official song for the 2010 World Cup, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) . This is a version of the song Zangalewa by the Cameroonian band Golden Sounds , which was released in 1986.
