Frieda Sembach-Krone

Frieda Sembach-Krone (born April 15, 1915 in Vienna ; † November 2, 1995 in Starnberg ) was a German artist and director of Circus Krone .

She was the daughter of the circus director Carl Krone and the animal tamer Ida Krone , née Ahlers. Already at the age of twelve she showed horse dressage in her father's circus and was celebrated as the “princess of horses” all over Europe. In 1935 she married the trainer Carl Sembach . From 1943 to 1980 she presented a large herd of elephants.

After the death of her father in 1943, she and her husband ran the company. In place of the Munich headquarters that had been destroyed in World War II, the new building on the Marsfeld was opened in 1962 . Frieda Sembach-Krone initiated the programs “Bavaria plays up”, “Krone Festival” and “ Stars in the Manege ”. After the death of her husband in 1984 she ran the circus together with her daughter Christel Sembach-Krone .
