history

Until the end of the 18th century Friedelhausen (then still called Friedelshausen) belonged to the Duchy of Zweibrücken and was assigned to the Bosenbach mayor and the Oberamt Lichtenberg . During the so-called French period (1798 to 1814) Friedelhausen belonged to the canton Wolfstein in the Donnersberg department . Due to the resolutions at the Congress of Vienna (1815), the Palatinate was assigned to the Kingdom of Bavaria , Friedelhausen belonged to the "Landkommissariat Kusel" in the Rhine district from 1818 , in 1862 it was renamed "Bezirksamt Kusel" and in 1939 it was renamed "Landkreis Kusel". After the Second World War , the Palatinate and with it Friedelhausen came to the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate .

As part of the Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform that began in the mid-1960s, Friedelhausen was incorporated into the neighboring community of Bosenbach on January 1, 1971.
