Friedhelm Beuker

Friedhelm Maria Beuker (born June 22, 1932 in Berlin ; † January 28, 2012 ) was a German sports doctor .

Life

Friedhelm Maria Beuker completed his medical studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin as the youngest graduate at the age of only 22 with the state examination . At the age of 27 he headed the health and safety inspection and became a district sports doctor in the Frankfurt (Oder) district . Later he headed the sports medicine department in the Ministry of Health .

In 1964 he was at the Humboldt University with a dissertation on occupational hygiene in the plant protection service for Dr. med. PhD . In 1975 he completed his habilitation at the German University of Physical Culture (DHfK). In addition to his work in the ministry, he was, among other things, an association doctor for the weightlifting association of the GDR.

In 1982 Beuker moved to the Federal Republic of Germany and worked from 1984 until his retirement as professor in 1997 at the sports institute of the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

He volunteered a. a. as an association doctor of the German Bodybuilding and Fitness Association and temporarily President of the German Bodybuilding and Strength Sports Association. In the CDU he was active in the sports commission of the CDU parliamentary group in North Rhine-Westphalia and in the senior citizens' union of the CDU.

After his death on January 28, 2012, he was buried in the Zehlendorf forest cemetery in Berlin.
