Marienwerder cemetery
The Marienwerder cemetery is an Evangelical Lutheran cemetery at Garbsener Landstraße 12 in the Marienwerder district of Hanover . The green area is sponsored by the ev.-luth. Parish that maintains its office at Augustinerweg 21 .
history
The cemetery at the foot of the Glockenberg in Quantelholz was originally part of the Hinüberschen garden on the northern side of the former country road to Garbsen . The cemetery surrounded by the forest of the Marienwerder monastery was created here in 1862 for the members of the parishes of Marienwerder, Stöcken and Havelse .
Today the approximately 21,000 m² cemetery has old trees with a lot of green.
