Friedrich-Wilhelm Dopatka

Friedrich-Wilhelm Dopatka (* 1946 ) is a German lawyer and was State Councilor in Bremen and State Secretary in Berlin .

biography

Dopatka, born in Schleswig-Holstein, studied in the 1960s / 70s law . He received his doctorate as Dr. jur. The then social democrat entered the Bremen civil service in 1974 and was initially press officer and personal advisor to Justice Senator Wolfgang Kahrs (SPD).

In 1980 he moved to the Bremen Social Court as a judge . He was responsible for the recognition of severely disabled people as well as for accident insurance law and vocational rehabilitation.

In 1984 Dopatka became a Senate Councilor and department head of the then Bremen Senator for Labor Claus Grobecker (SPD). Among other things, he was responsible for the legal supervision of health and accident insurance companies. In 1986 he moved to the Senator for Youth and Social Affairs under Mayor Henning Scherf , where he worked as a department head for social security in the context of social welfare, including health care and psychiatric care.

In 1987, as the successor to Senate Director Kurt Niedergesäß, he was appointed State Councilor at the Senate Commission for Human Resources (SKP), headed by Senator Volker Kröning (SPD). A traffic light coalition ruled Bremen until 1995 . The SKP was occupied by social democrats. After the 1995 election, a grand coalition took over the government and the SKP was led by Senator for Finance Ulrich Nölle (CDU), so that the social democrat Dopatka lost his post. He opened with Senator a. D. Wolfgang Kahrs founded a law firm in Burglesum . Dopatka spoke at Radio Bremen in 2000 on the subject: "Can the state be broken down into a maze of GmbHs that, in contrast to parliament and administration, are no longer committed to the common good, but to the good of companies?"

In 2001 Dopatka was appointed as the successor to Klaus-Theo Schröder as State Secretary of the Berlin Senator for Health, Social Affairs and Labor Gabriele Schöttler (SPD). He was then chairman of the board of trustees of the Jewish Hospital Berlin Foundation .

In February 2011 he left the SPD to become a member of the "Bremer und Bremerhaven voter community". He is running for this group at number 10 in the election for the Bremen citizenship on May 22, 2011.
