Friedrich August von Etzdorff

Friedrich August von Etzdorff , also von Etzdorf , († October 5, 1748 in Etzdorf ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon castle captain in Merseburg and heir, feudal lord and court lord on Etzdorf and Rauda as well as co- lean of the Reuden manor in Naumburg monastery .

He came from the old Saxon - Thuringian noble family Etzdorff and was the son of George Friedrich von Etzdorff. After his training he became captain of the castle in Merseburg in what was then the Saxony-Merseburg secondary school . In addition, he acquired the paternal manors Etzdorf and Rauda.

He was married to Dorothea Eleonora, née von Reitzenstein, and upon his death left behind the underage sons Carl Friedrich Meinhard von Etzdorff (born August 15, 1736 in Etzdorf) and Friedrich Ludwig Otto von Etzdorff (born March 30, 1738 in Etzdorf). Both sons entered military service abroad, the oldest in Hessen-Kassel and the youngest in Württemberg.
