Friedrich Beutter

Friedrich Beutter (born July 3, 1925 in Hechingen ; † August 21, 2010 ) was a Roman Catholic priest and theologian .

Life

From 1946 to 1949 he studied economics at the Universities of Tübingen and Freiburg and received his doctorate in 1953. Dr. rer. pole. From 1950 to 1954 he studied Catholic theology in Freiburg im Breisgau and Tübingen. In 1954 he was ordained a priest in Freiburg im Breisgau. From 1954 to 1958 he was secretary to the Archbishop of Freiburg, Eugen Seiterich . From 1960 to 1969 he was a research assistant at the moral theological seminar of the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . In 1963 he received his doctorate there in theology. In 1969 he completed his habilitation at this university and received the venia legendi in moral theology and Christian social theory. From 1969 to 1990 he taught as a full professor for moral theology at the theological faculty of the University of Lucerne .
