Friedrich Carl Michael Grosholz
Friedrich Carl Michael Grosholz (born July 19, 1810 in Weitersborn , † January 17, 1888 in Vilbel ) was a German geometer and entrepreneur .
biography
Grosholz was born in 1810 as the son of the Weitersborner district forester Friedrich Grosholz . He initially trained as a geometer in Fürfeld and successfully passed the exam in 1835. On January 24, 1837, he received his patent as a first class geometer in Bingen am Rhein and on December 9, 1847 for Friedberg . Through a job as a cadastral geometer he came to Vilbel , where he settled down.
He first invested the good income from his activity as a surveyor in a noodle factory , which over time developed into a specialty shop . Grosholz became famous for the marketing of the mineral springs on his property, which later became the Luisen-Brunnen as the primal cell of Bad Vilbel's mineral springs .
Friedrich Carl Michael Grosholz died on January 17, 1888 in Vilbel from a stroke .
