Georg von Craushaar
Friedrich Ernst Georg von Craushaar (* 15. January 1851 in Dresden , † 14. November 1936 in Jauernick ) was a German Kreishauptmann and landowner.
biography
Georg was a son of the privy councilor Karl Hermann von Craushaar (1810-1893) and his wife Klara, born von Beust (1821-1888). He studied law at the University of Leipzig and then did his military service in the Saxon Army . Between 1890 and 1900 Craushaar worked as governor in Löbau and then until 1906 in Dresden-Neustadt . From 1906 to 1919 Craushaar was district chief of Bautzen .
In 1909 he acquired the Jauernick manor and in the same year had a new manor house built as the family seat. Craushaar was a member of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences . He is the father of Harry von Craushaar .
