Friedrich Scholer
Friedrich Eugen Scholer (born April 10, 1874 in Sydney ; † May 1949 ) was a German architect .
He studied in Sydney at the School of Arts and at the Technical University of Munich . After completing his studies, he worked for Friedrich von Thiersch in Munich and, from 1904, he was an independent architect in Stuttgart .
In 1910, Scholer and his college friend Paul Bonatz founded the architecture firm “Bonatz und Scholer” in Stuttgart; this collaboration only ended in 1943/1944. How large Scholer's share in the joint projects was cannot be determined objectively.
Bonatz and Scholer achieved their breakthrough in 1911 with first prize in the competition for Stuttgart Central Station , which was followed by the execution contract in 1913.
