Friedrich Ewald Ernst von Massow

Friedrich Ewald Ernst von Massow (born July 23, 1750 in Pomerania , † January 10, 1791 in Marienwerder ) was a German civil servant.

Life

Friedrich Ewald Ernst von Massow was the son of Valentin von Massow and his second wife Freiin Johanna Friderike von Krause (1726-1813), daughter of Johann Rudolf von Krause, governor and consistorial president, chief steward of the Duke of Württemberg-Oels , and Christiane Charlotte von Stein-Altenstein (1683–1756). His biological siblings were:

On October 20, 1767, he enrolled at the University of Halle as a law student . In November 1770 he was promoted to trainee lawyer and in March 1772, as the successor to the deceased Councilor von Graevenitz, to the War and Domain Council in Breslau .

In 1775 he inherited the Schwessin , Scharnitz and Waldow estates from his father in the Rummelsburg district in Western Pomerania .

On October 15, 1786, he received the title of Privy Council of War and later advanced to the position of Chamber Director. In March 1790 he was given the character of a finance council. With the cabinet order of July 6, 1790, he was promoted to chamber president of the War and Domain Chamber in Marienwerder, succeeding the dismissed Ludwig Friedrich von Domhardt .

Friedrich Ewald Ernst von Massow married Freiin Wilhelmine Albertine (* 1761; † unknown), daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm von Seydlitz , around 1778 , the marriage was later divorced.

Because he did not leave any descendants, his goods Schwessin , Waldow and Puppendorf fell to his brother Valentin.
