Friedrich Fechner

Friedrich Wilhelm Theodor Max Fechner (born February 1, 1902 in Kassel ; † September 23, 1964 there ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

As the son of a go. Fechner enrolled on May 3, 1920 (at the age of 17) at the University of Rostock for jurisprudence. In the winter semester of 1920/21 he moved to the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . With Kurt Fürer he became active in the Corps Borussia Breslau . He proved himself as consenior , fought 12 lengths and seconded almost 200 games of his corps brothers. Despite ongoing participation in the general student committee and in the senior citizens' convention in Wroclaw , he passed the trainee examination at the age of 22 and the assessor examination at the higher court three years later , both with distinction .

Bergrat and federal judge

After a short judicial activity in Breslau , he joined the Prussian mining administration at the age of 25 . Since 1932 Bergrat , he worked at the Oberbergamt Dortmund and from October 1935 at the Oberbergamt Clausthal . He became Oberbergrat in 1939 and in 1940 received a teaching position for social security law from the Clausthal Mining Academy . In addition, he not only taught mining law , but also "the entire legal system" for 12 years. At the same time, from 1944 to 1954, he was director of the Miners' Insurance Office for Lower Saxony. From 1949 he was councilor and deputy mayor of Clausthal-Zellerfeld .

He resigned from these honorary and part-time positions in July 1954 when the Federal Social Court in Kassel appointed him a federal judge . As a representative he was made available to the Disciplinary Senate at the Federal Court of Justice in 1957 . In 1959 he was elected to the regional synod of the Evangelical Church in Hesse and Nassau .

VAC Board of Directors

From 1958 Fechner was involved in the Kassel VAC board . The work in the Kosen Statute Commission, on the honor order (in Austria) and the Kösener corps lists , the conflict over the Corps Palatia Bonn , the settlement of disputes , the reorganization of the Würzburg archives, the criminal law reform (Mensur) and discussions with Catholic-theological circles bothered him. After a good two years he handed over the deputy chairmanship of the VAC board to Otto-Tile von Kalm .

At the age of 61, he succumbed to heart disease. He left his wife Luise Fechner geb. Bispinck , two daughters and three sons (including two corps brothers).
