Frederick Hartwich (* after 1590 in Stettin , † interlocutory 1644 and 1676 in Pomerania ) lawyer and was secretary of the Kontor of the Hanseatic League in Bergen .

Life

Friedrich Hartwich was enrolled at the University of Rostock as a child, presumably in order to spare him the deposition , with the not entirely understandable origin of Rostochiensis . In 1609 he was mentioned as a respondent in Rostock . In 1614 Hartwich registered for the second time with the correct indication of origin Stetinensis

The elderly people of the mountain drivers in Lübeck appointed him in 1634 on the recommendation of the former office secretary and now Rostock councilor Christoph Bernhard Schrader as secretary of the Bergen office as successor to the secretary Caspar Heigenius . As a brother-in-law of the Lübeck organist Peter Hasse, Hartwich had connections to Lübeck. 1634–1644 was secretary of the office of the German Hanseatic League in Bergen. Shortly after his arrival he donated the sculpture of Jakobus Maior for the Marienkirche in Bergen. In Bergen he made friends with the organist at the Marienkirche Lukas Hardenbeck and failed in his relationship with the Bergenfahrern because of the rule of commercial celibacy laid down in the statutes of the office . In 1643 he became the father of a daughter born by Hardbeck's daughter, the Kontor was no exception and Hartwich had to leave the same year. He was able to marry his wife in Lübeck, but then moved back to Pomerania with his family. Much of the rest of his life is in the dark. His sons Petrus and Anton Hartwich provided the final sources relating to this clerk. His successor was Secretary Arnold Isselhorst .
