Friedrich Held (politician)

Johann Friedrich Heinrich Wilhelm Held (born July 26, 1801 in Grenzhausen , † September 18, 1878 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a Nassau civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau .

Friedrich Held was the son of the dean Friedrich Wilhelm Held (* October 8, 1762, † June 15, 1835 in Rückroth) and his wife Margarethe Wilhelmine Johannette nee Emmilius.

Friedrich Held, who was a Protestant denomination, married Auguste nee Bäntsch (* December 24, 1808 in Schaumburg; † around 1844), the daughter of the chamber director Friedrich Ludwig Gustav Bäntsch (* February 16, 1763 in Hoym ; † February 9, 1841 in Diez ) and Friederike Polyxena Charlotte geb. Cramer.

Life

Friedrich Held attended grammar school in Weilburg from 1814 to 1818 and studied law in Bonn and Göttingen from 1821 to 1824 . After the legal exam he was an office advisor a. a. the Office Montabaur , Office Hachenburg and Office Eltville . From 1832 to 1839 he was then Secretary of the Hadamar Office and Wallmerod Office . In 1849 he was promoted to judicial officer and worked in this function in the Rennerod office. In 1849, as a result of the March Revolution, the judiciary and administration were separated. As judicial offices, the offices had been given the function of courts of first instance. In 1854 the old office structures were restored and were again responsible for jurisdiction and administration. 1865–1869 Held was bailiff in the Hochheim department and 1859–1865 in the Eltville department.

In 1858 he was elected to the second chamber of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau for constituency III (Rennerod), to which he belonged until 1863.
