Friedrich Hoppe
Friedrich Hoppe (born November 28, 1921 in Klarenwald , Silesia ; † October 20, 2008 in Pfäffikon , Schwyz ) was a German entrepreneur.
Life
Hoppe founded in 1952 in Heiligenhaus the Hoppe AG as a manufacturer of door hardware. In 1954 he relocated the company's headquarters to Allendorf in central Hesse . An expansion of his business to Western Europe and further plant foundations followed, among other things. a. in South Tyrol , in Müstair in Switzerland and in Crottendorf . From 1992 onwards he gradually withdrew from the company's management and in March 2003 transferred it completely to his two sons Wolf and Christoph Hoppe. However, he remained connected to his company as honorary president. For more than 50 years he shaped the lock and fittings industry in Germany and Europe.
Honors
For his economic work, Hoppe was awarded the honorary citizenship of the following places:
- Schluderns (South Tyrol)
- Bromskirchen (Hesse)
- Müstair (Graubünden)
- St. Martin (South Tyrol)
He was also the bearer of the Tyrolean Eagle Order in Gold and the Great Order of Merit of the State of South Tyrol .
