Friedrich III. Wiprecht Franz Graf zu Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen (born December 30, 1852 in Laibach, today Ljubljana ( Slovenia ); † February 7, 1916 in Ilbenstadt Castle (today part of Niddatal , Hessen-Darmstadt )) was a German count from the noble family of Leiningen , Registrar and member of parliament.

Family and life

Friedrich III. zu Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen was the son of Count Johann Ludwig Graf zu Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen (1807–1864), son of Friedrich I. Ludwig Christian Graf von Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen , and his wife Josephine Ernestine Freiin von und zu Stadel-Kornberg from Görz (1815–1869), daughter of Georg Freiherr von und zu Stadel-Kornberg from Görz and the Josefine Francisca Freiin von Königsbrunn.

Friedrich III. zu Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen married on March 11, 1875 in Geneva Hermine Luise Sophie Olga von Braillard (born January 13, 1851 - October 20, 1937), daughter of Jean Charles Braillard, professor, president of the board of directors of the city of Geneva. The marriage ended in divorce in 1895. In his second marriage on May 17, 1907 in Klagenfurt , he married Maria Theresia Henriette Elisabeth Freiin Schluga von Rastenfeld (born December 26, 1884; † after 1920 in Budapest), daughter of Freiherr Oskar Schluga von Rastenfeld and Freiin Elisabeth Huebmershofen von Silbernagl.

1877–1887 member of the First Chamber of the State Parliament of the Grand Duchy of Hesse as a civil servant, from 1877 admission, but refused admission to the chamber in 1887 because of unequality, after which the seat was suspended, from 1870–1872 Viktor Graf zu Leiningen-Westerburg-Altleiningen took over as guardianship . 1881-1884 he was a member of the Nassau Municipal Parliament of the Prussian administrative district of Wiesbaden and the Provincial Parliament of the Prussian Province of Hesse-Nassau for Westerburg.
