Friedrich Joseph Stöhr

Friedrich Joseph Stöhr (born April 11, 1802 in Fulda , † June 11, 1875 in Rückers ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a tax chamber registrar, Stöhr studied law in Bonn and camera sciences in Würzburg and Jena after attending grammar school in Fulda . During his studies he became a member of the Bonn fraternity in 1819 , of the Old Würzburg fraternity of Germania in 1820 and of the Germania Jena fraternity in 1820/21 . In 1821 he left the university, learned agriculture and then worked on various estates; 1823 in Holzkirchen in Franconia, but most of the time in the family business in Rückers. He married a farmer's daughter. In 1835 he was elected mayor of the village in Rückers and in 1842 he was elected to the Kurhessische estates assembly. He was also a member from 1845 to 1847. In 1847 he was also the chairman of the agricultural association in the Fulda district .
