Friedrich Koelmel

Friedrich Kölmel (born October 1, 1862 in Radolfzell on Lake Constance , † January 5, 1926 in Baden-Baden ) was a German mathematician .

Life

Friedrich Kölmel studied mathematics from 1881 to 1883 at the TH Karlsruhe , 1884 at the University of Munich and in 1885 and 1886 at the University of Tübingen . In Karlsruhe he became a member of the Germania fraternity (today Teutonia ). In Tübingen he received his doctorate in 1886 for Dr. rer. nat. He was appointed professor of mathematics and physics and served at the secondary schools in Müllheim (Baden) , Ettenheim , Mosbach and Baden-Baden.

In addition to the teaching profession, Kölmel was also active in research with numerous publications. Since 1899 he was a speaker on the program of mathematical and scientific content of the Badische Mittelschulen for JCV Hoffmann's magazine for mathematical and scientific teaching . He also published in the archive of mathematics and physics and in the annual report of the German Association of Mathematicians .
