Friedrich Kühlken

Friedrich Kühlken (born June 18, 1898 in Bremen -Lesum; † 1973 in Bremen) was a German educator , historian and local researcher .

biography

Kühlken was the son of a shoemaker from Lesum . He graduated from the Bremen teachers' seminar on Hamburger Strasse. He received his first teaching position in the west of Bremen. Most recently he was the headmaster of the girls' school on Helgolander Straße .

He gained importance through his publications on the local history of Bremen and Umzu. Among other things, he wrote 19 articles in Friedrich Walburg's series Geschichte in Erzählungen (1930s) and in the Bremen workbooks . The work Between Niederweser and Niederelbe - A local history of the state of Bremen and the Lower Saxony administrative district of Stade from 1950 was commendable.
