Friedrich Krommes

Friedrich Krommes (born September 26, 1906 in Fritzlar , † March 4, 1971 in Kassel ) was a German church administration lawyer and executive director of the Bruderhilfe VVaG.

Life

Krommes was a son of pastor Julius Krommes and his wife Amanda nee. Müller. He attended the Friedrich Wilhelm School (Eschwege) , where he graduated from high school in 1925. He began to study law at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . When he was inactive , he moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After the legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle (1929) he was a legal trainee in Spangenberg , Kassel and Jüterbog . In 1934 the assessor exam followed with distinction at the higher court . Krommes decided to join the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck and was appointed regional church councilor in 1936. From 1939 to 1945 he served in the Air Force (Wehrmacht) , most recently as first lieutenant and battery chief of a flak department in France. He became an American prisoner of war, from which he was released in 1945.

After the war, Krommes resumed his work in the regional church, most recently as regional church councilor and head of the property and finance department. He was a member of the property commission and the disciplinary court of the EKD , member of the board of trustees of the Melanchthon School, as well as in committees of the Diakonie and the Inner Mission . In 1959 he left the service of the regional church and worked as a lawyer and member of the supervisory board of the Bruderhilfe VVaG in Kassel. In 1961 he became a managing board member of Bruderhilfe.

Krommes was a member of the board of the Association of Old Corps Students from 1957 and followed Kurt Fürer in 1959 after his health-related resignation as first chairman of the board (until 1961).
