action

Haider and Nilofar are studying at the same college. He is secretly in love with her, but knows nothing of her love for Wasim. After college, Haider becomes the editor of a successful magazine. Meanwhile, Nilofar has married Wasim.

They spend their honeymoon in Bombay , albeit differently than Nilofar had imagined. Instead of hanging out with Nilofar all the time, Wasim is more involved in business matters. Wasim always comes home later from work at home. The situation came to a head when Wasim himself was late for her anniversary celebration, so that the guests left angrily. Wasim is pissed off and puts all the blame on his wife. During his outburst of anger, he immediately divorced Nilofar.

Nilofar is devastated. She is not accepted by society as a divorced woman and so has difficulty finding a job. Only with Haider, who still loves her, is she lucky and is treated with respect. She soon falls in love with him and is ready to marry him.

Wasim now regrets the divorce and wants to win Nilofar back. According to Islamic law, he can only remarry Nilofar if their second marriage is also divorced. So he writes her a letter and asks her to leave Haider to try a new start with him again.

But Nilofar does not even think about leaving Haider, who adores her and fulfills every wish. When this letter accidentally falls into Haider's hands, Haider believes they are still in love with each other. Since he doesn't want to stand between her love, he gives her a surprise present on her birthday. In the evening the doorbell rings and Nilofar thinks Haider is back from work. Instead, Wasim is on the doorstep. After an emotional argument, Nilofar Haider makes it clear that she doesn't want Wasim back after this humiliation and begs him not to leave her too. Wasim himself sees his mistake and does not want to be the reason for their separation and so he reconciles the two again.
