Friedrich Loose

Friedrich Loose (born April 25, 1853 in Bornum , † October 2, 1930 in Großmühlingen ) was a German pastor and regional historian .

Life

Friedrich Loose was born as the second of 13 children in the Bornum rectory. After studying theology in Halle (Saale) , Loose took up the post of parish vicar in Coswig in 1878 . After pastorships in Sandersleben and Radegast , he became pastor at St. Petri Church in Großmühlingen in 1898. In 1923, Loose was retired. Then he devoted himself to the history of the region.

Honors

For the 1000th anniversary of the communities Großmühlingen and Kleinmühlingen in 1936, a memorial was inaugurated in his honor and a street was named after Loose. In 1993 the primary and secondary schools in Großmühlingen were given the name Friedrich-Loose-Schule .
