Friedrich Ludwig von Sydow (District Administrator)

Friedrich Ludwig von Sydow (born January 20, 1701 in Görlsdorf , Königsberger Kreis , † April 24, 1742 in Lichtenow , Friedeberger Kreis ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1736 until his death he was in charge of the Friedeberger Kreis in Neumark .

He was a son of the Brandenburg colonel and landowner Ernst Friedrich von Sydow (* 1666; † 1723) and his wife Louise, née von Gramm . The noble von Sydow family was widespread in Neumark and Pomerania .

Friedrich Ludwig von Sydow attended the Knight Academy in Brandenburg from 1717 . In 1732 he sold the in Greifenhagen's circle located in Pomerania paternal estate stone weir (his father ⅔ stone weir had said just acquired) and developing bought a stake in Rohrbeck in Arnswalder circle of Neumark. He sold this in 1736 and bought Lichtenow in the Friedeberger Kreis der Neumark.

Also in 1736 he became district administrator of the Friedeberger Kreis . He held the office until his death in 1742; in office he was followed by Hans Joachim von Bornstedt .

Friedrich Ludwig von Sydow was married to Auguste Sophie, née von Waldow . The marriage produced four children, including Christian Ludwig von Sydow (* 1733, † 1795), who was the district administrator of the Arnswald district.
