Friedrich Müller (politician, 1784)

Friedrich Andreas Müller (born January 10, 1784 in Penzlin ; † August 23, 1830 in Neubrandenburg ) was a German administrative lawyer , mayor and politician .

Life

Friedrich Müller was the son of pastor Ludwig Müller (1754–1816) in Penzlin and his wife Anna Regina, b. Pfuhl (1767–1845), a Penzlin pharmacist's daughter. The city judge Carl Müller was his brother. One sister married the lawyer Hofrat Bernhard Funk, another the Neustrelitz court doctor Theodor Kortüm .

He studied law from October 1801 at the University of Jena and from May 1804 at the University of Rostock . In the same year he became an attorney at the court and district court in Güstrow , then attorney and procurator of the Mecklenburg-Strelitz law office in Neustrelitz . In Rostock he also became a member of the Corps Vandalia . He was Land- Syndikus of the Stargardischen Kreis and was appointed Grand Ducal Mecklenburg-Strelitzischer Hofrat . In 1814, Müller documented Mecklenburg-Strelitz's participation in the Wars of Liberation by the Mecklenburg-Strelitz Hussar Regiment . From March 30, 1816 Müller was mayor, from 1826 until his death first mayor of the Vorderstadt Neubrandenburg and as such ex officio landscape deputy in the select committee of the knight and landscape in Rostock .

Müller was married to Friederika, born in 1811. Strübing (1790-1860). The two had eleven children, including the philologist Hermann Müller-Strübing (1812–1893) and the writer Luise Mühlbach (1814–1873).

Müller's abandoned private library was auctioned in 1846; the catalog has survived. The great city fire in Neubrandenburg in 1945 also destroyed Müller's house.
