Friedrich Schneider (Manager)

Friedrich Schneider (born May 9, 1913 ; † May 6, 1981 ) was a German lawyer and science manager.

Career

Schneider was the son of a Berlin Reichsbank director. He worked as a ministerial director. Between 1958 and 1966 he was the first general secretary of the then newly founded Science Council . From 1966 to 1976 he was Secretary General of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science . Posthumously he was made an honorary senator of the society.
