Dietrich Ranft
Dietrich Ranft (born April 27, 1922 in Großdeuben near Leipzig; † May 29, 2002 in Munich ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Career
Ranft studied law in Marburg . After the two state examinations in law, he joined the Hamburg financial administration in 1952. From 1961 he was department head in the Ministry of Education in Schleswig-Holstein and from 1966 to 1974 State Councilor in the tax authorities and the authority for property and public companies in Hamburg.
From 1976 to 1987 he was Secretary General of the Max Planck Society .
