Friedrich Stuhlmann (pastor)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Friedrich Stuhlmann († after 1427 ) was pastor and councilor to Elector Friedrich I of Brandenburg .

Life

He came from a family in Upper Franconia . The electoral councilor Peter Stuhlmann and the later Chancellor and Bishop Friedrich Stuhlmann were related to him.

In 1401 he was pastor in Gesees . In 1402, Stuhlmann was mentioned for the first time as a pastor in Cadolzburg, the seat of Burgrave Friedrich I, who confirmed him a receipt for 21 guilders. In the following years he worked for Friedrich several times, in 1415 for the first time as electoral councilor after Friedrich had taken over the rule in Brandenburg. In 1419, Stuhlmann received funds from the Frauenroth Cistercian convent on behalf of Bishop George of Padua .

In 1427 Friedrich Stuhlmann was still a pastor in Cadolzburg when he decided on a dispute at the Ebrach monastery and appeared as a witness in a document from Bishop Konrad von Havelberg for the elector. Friedrich I deposited his will with him. This probably happened in 1437 when the first draft was being drawn up. Friedrich Stuhlmann died in 1437 or later.
