Friedrich Wachsmuth

Jacob Christoph Friedrich Wachsmuth (born June 18, 1803 in Hanover ; † January 3, 1868 there ) was a German lawyer , politician and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Friedrich Wachsmuth studied law from 1820 to 1823 in Göttingen and Heidelberg , where he was also awarded a Dr. iur. received his doctorate. In Göttingen he joined the old Göttingen fraternity in 1820 .

After completing his studies, he was consistorial auditor from 1824 to 1827 , extraordinary consistorial secretary until 1832 and consistorial secretary and church attorney in Hanover until 1853. Here he also worked as a lawyer from 1828 . In 1840 and from 1842 to 1847 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover . In 1848 he was a member of the Hanover Trade Club .

In the years 1848/49 he was a member of the constituency 2. Hanover (Hannover, Stadt) in the Paulskirchenparliament in Frankfurt. He first joined the Casino faction and later the Landsberg faction . He was also a member of the Priority Committee , the Proclamation Committee, and the Rules of Procedure committee .

After the failure of the Paulskirche parliament , he was a member of the Gotha post-parliament in 1849 . In 1849 and 1850 he was general syndic in the First Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover.

From 1853 to 1866 he worked at the Higher Appeal Court in Celle , and in 1866 began his retirement in Hanover.
