Friedrich Weber (judge)

Friedrich Weber (born August 25, 1803 ; † February 20, 1873 in Gießen ) was a Hessian judge and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Friedrich Weber was the son of Colonel Wilhelm Weber (1774–1849) and his wife Christine Elisabeth Katharina , née Grandhomme (1776–1836). Weber, who was of Protestant faith, married Wilhelmine Ernestine Friederike nee Helmolt on December 28, 1828 in Sickenhofen. On September 28, 1841 he married Christine Louise Friederike, nee Wortmann, in Gießen.

Weber studied law from 1820 at the University of Giessen . In 1826 he became a regional judge in Gießen, where he became a judge with a vote from 1828. In 1835 he became a member and councilor at the court in Giessen . In 1857 he was promoted to second director and in 1864 was appointed privy councilor.

From 1856 to 1862 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 / Assenheim .
