Karl Hunsinger

Karl Ludwig Hunsinger (born April 7, 1810 in Darmstadt , † August 2, 1870 in Hungen ) was a Hessian geometer and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Karl Hunsinger was the son of the master bricklayer Michael Hunsinger and his wife Anna Katharina, née Ritsert. Hunsinger, who was Protestant, married Johannette Theodore Karoline Luise Friederike nee Bichmann.

Hunsinger was a land registry surveyor. From 1832 he was first class geometer in the Friedberg district and from 1838 tax commissioner in the Vöhl tax district. On October 18, 1842, he moved to Hungen in the same position, where he was again 1st class geometer from November 21, 1842.

From 1866 to 1870 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 12 / Ossenheim . In the estates he represented conservative-liberal positions.
