Friedrich Wilhelm Meister

Friedrich Wilhelm Meister (born May 27, 1870 in Stettin ; † March 18, 1946 ) was a German administrative lawyer , ministerial official and judge .

Meister studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and had been a member of the Corps Guestphalia since 1888 . In 1892 he headed the Kösener Congress .

After passing the state examination and subsequent legal clerkship , he entered the administrative service of the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1903 he became district administrator of the Thorn district in West Prussia . In 1911 he came to the Prussian Ministry of the Interior as a lecturer, where he became Ministerial Director in 1918 and State Secretary in 1924 .

As a member of the German People's Party , he was recalled in 1926 by the Social Democratic Interior Minister Albert Grzesinski and replaced by Wilhelm Abegg ( DDP ). Meister then moved to the Prussian Higher Administrative Court as Senate President , which at the time was a hoard and a reception center for conservative officials. In 1933 he was appointed vice president of that court before retiring in 1935 due to old age.

Friedrich Wilhelm Meister died in 1946 at the age of 75 and was buried in the forest cemetery in Zehlendorf . The grave is preserved.
