Karl Friedrich Brackenhammer , from 1873 by Brackenhammer , (born January 13, 1810 in Gechingen , † October 29, 1889 in Tübingen ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Friedrich Brackenhammer was the son of the miller Johann Jakob Brackenhammer in Gechingen and Friederike Reutter. In 1839 he married Rosine Katharin Hennenhofer.

job

He studied Protestant theology in Tübingen . There he was a member of the Burschenschaft Feuerreiter / Germania Tübingen . In 1836 he became a repetitionist. Deacon in Sulz in 1838 and in Nürtingen in 1844 . 1853 pastor and dean in Brackenheim and 1866 in Schorndorf . In 1871 he succeeded the late Hermann Adolf von Stock as prelate and general superintendent of Heilbronn . He retired in April 1880.

politics

The general superintendents of the Evangelical Church were officially privileged members of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament . That is why Friedrich von Brackenhammer joined the state parliament in 1871 after his appointment in Heilbronn. He held the office until his retirement.
