Bernhard Wilhelm Albrecht Friedrich Graf von Hohenau (* May 21, 1857 in Albrechtsberg Castle near Dresden ; † April 15, 1914 in Ochelhermsdorf near Grünberg in Silesia ) was a relative of the German imperial family and involved in several sensational scandals.

Friedrich (also called Fritz) was a son of Prince Albrecht of Prussia (1809–1872), the youngest brother of Kaiser Wilhelm I , King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia and Tsarina Alexandra Fjodorovna , from his second morganatic marriage to Rosalie von Rauch (1820–1879), daughter of the Prussian War Minister Gustav von Rauch and his second wife Rosalie, née von Holtzendorff . Due to his mother's unsuitable background, Friedrich was not a member of the Hohenzollern family .

After the death of his mother, Friedrich Graf von Hohenau was, together with his older brother Wilhelm , heir to the Albrechtsberg Castle near Dresden, which he lived in until his death.

Friedrich was involved in the two biggest scandals of the German Empire under Wilhelm II . He belonged to the “ Liebenberger Round Table ” and played a role alongside his wife in the so-called “ Kotze Affair ”.

Together with Friedrich Botho Graf zu Eulenburg (a brother of Prince Philipp zu Eulenburg and Hertefeld ) he had to leave the Prussian army service in 1901 because of his homosexual tendencies.
