Friedrich von Pösl
Friedrich von Pösl (born September 1, 1806 in Landshut ; † July 27, 1876 in Puchheim ) was a German church historian .
Life
Friedrich von Pösl was born on September 1, 1806 in Landshut in Bavaria and ordained a priest on March 13, 1829 . Next he was a professor in the seminar in Passau . He then entered the Redemptorist order and was a preacher and pastor in Austria , Bavaria, America and Northern Germany . In the latter, von Pösl was rector of a novitiate as well as rector in Trier . In the years 1836 to 1843 he also edited the sheets for edification and instruction in Passau. Among other things, von Pösl wrote a biography of Klemens Maria Hofbauer . Friedrich von Pösl died on July 27, 1876 in Puchheim.
