Friedrich von Rothenstein (* in the 14th century; † in the 14th century) was the son of Konrad von Rothenstein , from the noble family of Rothenstein . He had his seat at the Lower Castle in Woringen . Friedrich von Rothenstein was the founder of the Rothenstein - Ittelsburg line, which continued until 1562 with the death of Hans Heinrich von Rothenstein.

history

The sale of a farm in Lenzfried, together with his brother Konrad, to citizens of Kempten has been handed down from Friedrich von Rothenstein in 1335 . After the death of his father in 1339, Friedrich von Rothenstein received large parts of Woringen, the church set to Ebersbach , and goods to Albrechts when the estate was divided . In 1339 Friedrich also sold five goods in Holzgünz to the Holy Spirit Hospital in Memmingen . After Friedrich's brother, Konrad von Rothenstein, was executed by Kemptic citizens in 1344, he went to war against Kempten and damaged the city. Due to the imprisonment of a fellow campaigner, Friedrich was forced to give up and paid compensation of 1000 pounds pfenningen to the city of Kempten, whereupon the other members of his family joined the peace in 1347.

In 1348 Friedrich, together with his brothers Ludwig and Heinrich, sold a citizen of Memmingen to Johann Scholl, a total of four estates in Dießlings , as well as two estates in Woringen and several properties in Zell . In 1351 Friedrich sold the hamlet of Wagsberg to the Roth monastery .

Anna von Rothenstein, the daughter of Acharius von Rothenstein and his wife Apollonia Burggraf von Burtenbach, is mentioned in the literature by Alfred Schröder The Diocese of Augsburg historically and statistically - The Landkapitel Oberdorf from 1906-1910 as the wife of Christoph von Bollstadt, while Max - Planck Institute for History in Germania Sacra - Historical-statistical description of the Church of the Old Kingdom - The dioceses of the ecclesiastical province of Mainz - The Diocese of Constance - The Cistercian convent of Wald from 1992, listing her as abbess of the Wald monastery. It is not clear whether it is the same person or two sisters with the same name.
