Friedrich von Stockheim (* 1462 ; † July 28, 1528 in Geisenheim ), from the family of the Lords of Stockheim , was Vice Cathedral of the Rheingau and Councilor of Mainz . To distinguish it from his son Friedrich, who held this office after him, he is also referred to in literature as Friedrich von Stockheim the Elder .

Friedrich von Stockheim was the son of Philipp von Stockheim († 1477) and his wife Catharina born von Bellersheim († 1480). He was married to Irmel von Karben (1484-1529). The sons Karl , Philipp, Johann and Friedrich von Stockheim d. Younger and Adolf as well as the daughter Clara emerged. Carl, Philip, Johann and Friedrich were owners of the fief over the Oberstockheim court (from Kurpfalz ). Friedrich also became vice cathedral in 1544. Adolf became canon in Mainz Cathedral . Clara was married to Albrecht von Dienheim .

Friedrich von Stockheim became Vogt of the Arnstein Monastery , was bailiff in the Idstein office from 1502 and Vice-Cathedral with seat in Geisenheim from 1505 to 1521. At the same time he was high school in Lorch . After his resignation from the office of the Vizedom he was appointed to the electoral council in 1521. From 1520 to 1525 he was Mainz bailiff at Wildenberg Castle . This castle was destroyed in the Peasants' War in 1525. He and his wife are buried in a double grave from 1536 in the Geisenheim church .
