Frigyes Mezei (German Friedrich Wiesner ; born September 26, 1887 in Mór , † March 27, 1938 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian sprinter .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he was eliminated over 100 m and 200 m in the preliminary run. In the Olympic relay he won the bronze medal with the Hungarian team in the line-up of Pál Simon , Mezei, József Nagy and Ödön Bodor .
In 1912 he reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Stockholm over 200 m and 400 m . In the 4 x 400 meter relay , he was eliminated with the Hungarian team in the preliminary round.
In 1910 he was Hungarian champion over 220 yards , in 1910, 1913 and 1914 over 440 yards.
