József Nagy (athlete)

József Nagy (born October 2, 1881 in Sárkeresztúr , Fejér County , † after 1909) was a Hungarian sprinter and middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he was eliminated from the 400 m , 800 m and 1500 m in the run. In the Olympic relay he won the bronze medal with the Hungarian team consisting of Pál Simon , Frigyes Mezei , Nagy and Ödön Bodor .

He was Hungarian champion twice over 440 yards (1903, 1904) and three times over 880 yards (1904, 1905, 1908) and in the mile run (1903, 1904, 1909).
