The Frisia III was a sea service ship of the shipping company Norden-Frisia .

history

The island ferry was built in 1960 as Frisia III and served the route Norddeich - Norderney . Between 1964 and 1976 the ship was mainly used for trips to Helgoland in the summer months , twice a week from Norderney, once a week from Langeoog and every two weeks from Spiekeroog . From 1977 until it was sold in 1998, the ship was mainly used for supplementary trips and excursions.

In 2000 it was bought by Nurmes Marina in Finland and renamed Koli III . In 2004 the ship was equipped with cabins for multi-day sailing and was used between Nurmes - Koli - Lieksa - Joensuu and Savonlinna .

In 2007 it was sold again and was named BlueWhite Eagle .

The ship was moored in Lappeenranta until 2017 . In August the ship was sold for demolition and in October 2017 it was scrapped at the Turku Repair Yard in Naantali .
